June NAEC Monthly Family Update
Dear NAEC Families,
As we enter the final weeks of the school year and look ahead to summer, we would like to recognize and celebrate some of the many accomplishments, activities, and people that have made this month so memorable at NAEC.
This is an important reminder to send your child with a water bottle, and appropriate clothing during these last weeks to help keep them as cool as possible.
Our Track & Field events were a tremendous success, and we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the teachers, parents, and volunteers who helped make them possible. The time, enthusiasm, and support provided by our school community created valuable opportunities for students to challenge themselves, build confidence, and enjoy a fantastic experience together. There were some fantastic results by our students at both the Regional and District Meets. Thank you to Mrs. Grant, Ms. Uens, and Mrs. Roantree who helped to coach the team this year.
We are also proud to announce that four of our secondary students earned a second-place finish at the All-Ontario Provincial Skills Competition. This remarkable accomplishment reflects their hard work, determination, and dedication. Congratulations to these students, as well as to Mr. Borger, whose leadership and commitment continue to strengthen our secondary skills programming.
Special thanks go to Mrs. Goodfellow for organizing and coaching the secondary softball team and coordinating a memorable trip to Wonderland. Her efforts have helped create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for our students.
At the same time, Mrs. Sproule and Mr. Sissons are currently with Grade 9/10 Physical Education classes on a three-day canoe trip. This outdoor adventure provides students with unique opportunities to develop teamwork, resilience, and an appreciation for the natural environment.
This year’s yearbook was a huge success and sold out early!! Thank you to Ms. Ohlke and her team for capturing our NAEC memories.
We would also like to give a shout out thank you to all the students who helped with the morning announcements throughout the year.
Our school, as a part of the greater community, is made great through the strong work ethic of our students, the caring nature of our school staff and the support of our NAEC families.
